What Colombia is known for
Colombia is warmth, coffee, and color. A Caribbean coast of colonial cities and islands, the world’s finest coffee country in the Andes, vibrant cities reborn, and some of the most welcoming people anywhere. Emeralds, salsa, and a food scene finally getting its due.
The regions
Cartagena, on the Caribbean, is the jewel, a walled colonial old town and nearby islands. Bogotá, the high-altitude capital, holds the culture and dining. Medellín is the city of eternal spring, and the surrounding coffee region (the Eje Cafetero) is emerald-green hills and haciendas.
Sport, adventure & the outdoors
Diving and island-hopping off the Caribbean coast, trekking to the Lost City (Ciudad Perdida), whale-watching on the Pacific, paragliding over the Andes, and coffee-farm and jungle adventures.

When to go
December to March and July to August are the driest, sunniest windows. The climate varies hugely by altitude and coast, so we build the route around your dates and regions.
Good to know
Currency. The Colombian peso. Visa. Most Western passports enter visa-free for tourism (typically up to 90 days). Health. No vaccinations required for the main cities and Caribbean; yellow-fever vaccination is advised for the Amazon and some jungle areas, we advise per itinerary. Getting around. Domestic flights and private transfers link the regions; we handle it all.
